61. 14th Australian Light Horse Regiment

This mounted troop is one of the most highly respected regiments in Australia and pays tribute to the Light Horsemen.



62. Calgary Stampede Salute to Their Volunteers

Volunteers from the Calgary Stampede ride in theis antique carriage owned by Elbow River Inn and Casino, and are celebrating the International Year of the Volunteer.



63. Fort Calgary Histric Parknh

This horsedrawn float is themed "Calgary ... where it all began." The float features life at the fort, crafts and daily chores. See the fullfeature article on Fort Calgary in this program.



64. The War Amps Play Safe - Drive Safe

Aster is the the gold robot form Planet Danger who encourages children to play safe.



65. Paul Lamoureaux

Mick and Cap are the two six-year-old Belgians pulling this 1988 show wagon custom built by Paul Lamoureaux.



66. Metis Nation Zone 3 Red River Cart

This Red River cart represents the history of the Metis people in Canada. The Zone 3 president and vice president are riding in the parade.



67. King's Own Calgary Regiment Band

This band was first formed in 1910 to serve Calgary's military and civilian communities. It is joined by membersof the Loyal Edmonton Regiment. Both bands have members sarving with the Band of the Caremonial Guard in Ottawa.



68. Rodeo Royalty

Riding in this year's parade is Miss Rodeo Canada and the rodeo royalty from Omak, Lewiston, Carstairs, Medicine Hat, Strathmore, Ponoka and Airdrie. Rodeo Queen Australia and Rodeo Fundraiser Australia are also riding.



69. First Nations Adult Higher Learning Cansortium

This organization successfully bid to hold the next World Indigenous People's Conference on Education, August 4-10, 2002, in Stoney Park, Morley, Alberta.





70. Alberta Cattle Commission

Erin Butters, Patti Scott and Lenore McLean are the Alberta Beef RancHERs. We'll be seeing a lot of these lady ranchers this year.



71. Westerner Park Exhibition Association

This float, from Westerner Park in Red Deer, Albarta, represents an old time fair featuring chuckwagon races and a carousel.



72. Red Deer Royals

These 100 band members ranging between tha age of 11 and 20 are chosen through auditions and presently represent 20 schools from the Red Deer region. The band will be travelling to the Netherlands and Germanu this summer(2001).





73. Canadian Team Cattle Penning

The Chinook Association si one branch of the 1500-member Canadian Team Cattle Penning Association. They're working towards standerdizing the sport of penning across Canada.



74. Stony Natives

The Stoney tribe is an offshoot of the Sioux Nation and resides on land south and west of Calgary.





75. Heritage Park

Canada's largest living histrical village is celebrating its 37th year. This carpenter truck carries a replica of Heritage Park's antique train.
